I Want to Know
Words and music by Craig Parsons
The Presence Live

[Verse 1]
I want to know
That there's kindness on the way
I want to know
Or is that just a thing we say
When we are low
And we're on our knees to pray?
I want to know
I want to know
I want to know

[Verse 2]
Is the power always right?
I want to know
Should I run or should I fight
And strike a blow
To the evil in the night?
I want to know
I want to know

[Chorus]
And we're singing
Holy, holy
Lord God Almighty
Draw near to me
Draw near to me

[Verse 3]
I want to see
The dawning of Your love
I want to see
The Spirit of the dove
Descend on me
Bring the peace of God above
I want to see
I want to see

[Prayer]
So show me, Lord
That You hear my fervent prayer
Oh, show me, Lord
How I can better care
For Your adored children here and everywhere
Oh, show me, Lord
Show me, Lord

[Chorus]
And we're singing
Holy, holy
Lord God Almighty
Draw near to me
Draw near to me

[Verse 3 - Reprise]
And let me see
Oh, the dawning of Your love
I want to see
The Spirit of the dove
Descend on me
Bring the peace of God above
I want to see
I want to see

[Final Prayer]
So show me, Lord
Show me, Lord
That You hear my fervent prayer
Oh, show me, Lord
How I can better care
For Your adored children here and everywhere
Oh, show me, Lord
Show me, Lord
Show me, Lord
